There are groups within the ministry that either favor some corridors – smuggling goods, drugs, they are used to make files.
Within the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) there are specialists who want and work for the public interest, but also some groups – some that smuggle goods and cigarettes, and – others request to order, said on Monday the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Moldova, Ana Revenco, during the show In PROfunzime on Pro TV Chisinau, broadcasts The Guard newspaper.
The Minister of Interior claims that within the ministry there were several internal investigations as a result of which some employees were detained and others were dismissed, including high-ranking leaders. The minister also mentioned that at the Ministry of Interior there are several groups that smuggle goods and goods, and others that manufacture criminal cases.
“(…) More than 160 investigations were conducted within the MIA. Some of the purchases were completed with dismissals, reprimands. (…) We have signed over 40 resignation requests, targeting the first-ranking leaders. I have been very sharp since I came to the minister. I have made it clear that integrity is one of the three principles I follow and that I do not find myself in this principle sooner or later. (…) Some go the way they call it easier – they ask me to resign. (…) We were blocked from work because there was no collaboration with the Prosecutor’s Office. SPIA is now collaborating with the prosecutor’s office in several criminal cases. (…) Some have already been detained. This system was exploited as a beating in the interest of some clans. (…) There are groups within the ministry that work like a pyramid that favors some corridors – smuggling of goods, drugs are used to make files (…) We are now in the process of investigating. If we have to work for four years to eliminate corruption in the system – we will work for these four years. It is quite serious that a police officer who has resources and access to information, to the international network, at some point operates against the citizen and there are several police officers who have been detained. We will work to document these illegal actions. I can’t name them now because there are ongoing investigations. (…) They favor that green corridor to transport goods, said Minister Ana Revenco.
