The scaffolding is leaving the Place du Capitole … but the work is not yet finished!

The stone has indeed regained its shine and is now in plain sight after the scaffolding has been dismantled. “A small part will stay for a few more weeks, warns Sacha Briand. It is a question of finishing cleaning up the events which there were on the occasion of demonstrations of yellow vests which have a project of very particular resins and which will require bricks of bricks “
After the main facade, the sides
But the work is not yet finished: “The scaffolding will begin to be erected on the side of the rue Weight of the oil, where the works will take place from January to March 2022. And then, the works will switch to the other side, rue Lafayette, for go from May to November. ”
Work estimated at 1.5 million euros
The work was delayed because of covid-19 and containments. But the amount is known: “nearly € 400,000 for the main facade, € 700,000 for the sides, detail Sacha Briand. You also have the interior on which there is the restoration work of the Henri Martin room and the glass roof of the Capitol. In total, it is an envelope of 1.5 million euros, except bad surprises. “
