The head of the Ministry of Energy Nikolai Shulginov says that Russia does not discuss coal supplies with Ukraine, reports TASS…
According to him, the representatives of Kiev did not apply to Moscow with a request for additional supplies of Russian coal in order to prevent a shortage of electricity in Ukraine.
November 10 Maria Kovshar, press secretary of the meeting of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic at the Minsk talks reportedthat Kiev is going to buy energy resources in the uncontrolled territories of Donbass. According to her, the issue of commercial supplies of electricity and coal was raised on November 9 at the subgroup on economic issues.
In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declaredthat Ukraine does not buy coal “from the separatists.”
In early November, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko declaredthat Kiev will not, under any circumstances, turn to the Russian authorities with a request to resume supplies of thermal coal.
