Sweden’s TV4 & Greece’s Alpha TV joins ‘The Secret Song’ – TBI Vision
Sweden’s TV4 and Greece’s Alpha TV have become the latest broadcasters to order local versions of the successful French format The secret song.
The show, created by DMLSTV for TF1 in France, will be produced by Warner Bros. International TV Production Sweden for TV4, with a first season in eight parts in progress. It will debut on Sunday on primetime from January 9th.
The Greek show meanwhile also consists of eight episodes and will debut in the spring of 2022 on Alpha TV, following the agreement with the distributor Can’t Stop.
The secret song follows celebrity singers, TV hosts, comedians and athletes sitting in the middle of a stage on a special chair to watch other artists, friends or family surprise them with a new version of one of their own favorite songs.
The Swedish and Greek commissions are following the launch of the format in Finland, there Laulu Rakkaudelle – Secret song Suomi doubled the slot machine’s performance for MTV3 over all demos. The show was produced by Warner Bros. International TV Production Finland and premiered the second highest-rated entertainment show of 2020 on Finnish TV, with a second series underway.
The format has also been redone in Italy for Rai 1, while TF1 has ordered a series of special offers based on the format for next year.
