The capital operates mobile infirmary Drop In 199 thousand crowns
Councilor At Monday’s meeting, Prague approved the provision of a subsidy of less than CZK 200,000 for the operation of the Drop In mobile infirmary. The infirmary provides support to people addicted to substances, in addition to the exchange of injecting material, it also helps with social and medical counseling or testing for infectious diseases and provides treatment.
The Center for Drug Addiction Prevention and Treatment – Drop In will receive funding to cover the costs associated with the operation of a mobile infirmary (ambulance), in the amount of 199,000 crowns.
“The capital city of Prague systematically supports mobile infirmaries, mainly due to the historical insufficient network of low-threshold stone services. On the other hand, in times of pandemic, the advantage of mobility is improved access to testing and vaccination against covid, ”says councilor. m of Prague for healthcare Milena Johnová.
The mobile is a simply modified modified car of the Drop Terrain Program, supplemented by extended services for users of illegal addictive substances. As part of regular parking in the city districts of Prague 4 and Prague 8, the infirmary staff offers exchange of injection material, social and health counseling, testing for infectious diseases, pre-test or post-test counseling, facilities and assistance in caring for clients.
Funds under the subsidy will be supplemented by ensuring the operation of mobile nurses, especially in the following months, when, given that the winter is approaching, it is appropriate to fit the numbers of investment individuals in correspondence with the investment numbers of the viral pandemic number of clients.
