New vaccination center in Mühleholzmarkt – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – The new Liechtenstein vaccination center is to be set up in Mühleholzmarkt. The government decided on Tuesday. In addition, people aged 65 to 79 can have their third dose injected as early as December.
A week ago, Volksblatt.li reported on rumors that the new Liechtenstein vaccination center would be built in Mühleholzmarkt in Vaduz. The government has now officially decided to do so.
In addition, according to the original plan, the booster vaccinations for 65 to 79-year-olds are to be started this year. Volksblatt.li had already reported on corresponding plans on Tuesday afternoon. As the government announced in the evening, all residents in this age group should be informed of the dates and registration modalities in a personal letter.
This week, the residents of retirement and nursing homes will be given booster vaccinations. In addition, double-vaccinated people who are 80 years of age or older will receive a booster vaccination at appointments in the communities from next week.
Residents over 80 years of age will receive a personal letter from the government with information about the vaccination date and how to register by telephone. The invitations to the booster vaccination are sent to the municipality according to the sequence of registration and vaccination dates. “All those who want to be vaccinated are asked to bring an identity card and vaccination booklet with them to the vaccination appointment,” writes the government.
Even at the vaccination appointments in the communities, severely immunodeficient people can get their booster vaccination. You need a medical certificate for this and can register on the vaccination hotline (+423 236 76 45).
According to the government, health professionals as well as nursing and support staff are given priority in booster vaccinations.
“Subject to the approval of the Swiss Medicines Agency, Swissmedic should start at the same time as the booster vaccination of the entire population,” the government continues.
