New platform bundles talent initiatives around Amsterdam
Bringing supply and demand together
The aim of AskhetTomas is that supply and demand for retraining, further training and talent development are better matched. “A lot has been done in recent years to combat the mismatch in the labor market: public-private partnerships, programs, new training courses, networks and organizations,” says Natalija Counet, talent lead at the Amsterdam Economic Board. “Steps have been made, but it’s often derived from core side-by-side. We have stories that aim to get 12 turnarounds through several starts with repeated demand. This comes at the expense of core talent development initiatives: effectively preparing talent with the right skills for the labor market of tomorrow.”
At Questionhetmas, interested parties can search based on their focus, target group and sector. In this way they get an overview of all the available products for their problem. For example, it is possible to specifically search for further training programs for, for example, ICT workers, or, conversely, for career orientation of retraining for job seekers, status holders of women.
In addition, it is possible to search for talent and to offer talent. Calls for mentors, collaboration partners, expertise, internships and talent can be posted and received on a special bulletin board. In this way, the initiators hope to stimulate collaboration between organizations and companies and established ones. The platform hopes to complete the first 50 collaborations by 2022.
