Moldovan citizens, British, Americans and other travelers from outside the Schengen area will have to pay an additional fee of 7 euros to enter the specified space, he writes. Euronews. The decision will be implemented by the end of 2022.
The European Passenger Information and Authorization System (ETIAS) claims that the new ETIAS rule it is intended to increase security and help prevent health threats within the Community bloc.
The ETIAS authorization will be introduced for tourism or business purposes and will not replace or study or work visa.
Thus, travelers will have to complete an online application before arrival, which costs 7 euros. For people under 18 or over 70, the application will be free.
