In “a state of deep general fatigue”, Princess Charlene will not participate in the national holiday
Returned to the Principality on November 8 after many months spent in South Africa where she had undergone several surgeries, Princess Charlene of Monaco will not participate in the Monaco National Day on Friday. The former swimmer is the victim of “a state of deep general fatigue”, indicates the princely palace on Tuesday.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene “agreed together that a period of calm and rest was necessary for the good recovery” of the wife of the sovereign after a “medical course […] very tested in recent months, ”said a press release.
A “strictly confidential” place of convalescence
43-year-old Charlene from Monaco had spent many months in South Africa where she underwent several surgeries due to a serious infection of the ear, nose and throat. She was not present on the Rock either in July, for the ten years of her marriage to Prince Albert II of Monaco which have not been celebrated.
The princess is resting in “a place of convalescence” which “will remain strictly confidential,” said the palace, specifying that “information on [son] will be communicated in the coming weeks and before the Christmas holidays ”.
