This morning in Grande-Synthe (North), more than a thousand people were evicted from a camp which faced the national road.
In the early hours of the morning, 300 police and gendarmes accompanied by state-mandated cleaning teams seized tents, tarpaulins and blankets. As always, they lacerate the tents and break their poles to prevent reuse.
Contrary to the commitments of the State, the people were not warned on the eve of their expulsion, which had been a point negotiated by the mediator Didier Leschi sent to Calais.
Several buses have been chartered to take exiled people to reception and examination centers (CAES) located throughout the department.
