Croatian President on Austria lockdown: “This is fascism!”
After his audience with the Pope, Croatian President Zoran Milanović let himself be carried away to make a very radical statement. He described the situation in Austria as “fascism”.
Croatian President Zoran Milanović came to a private audience with the Pope with his wife on Monday morning at the beginning of his visits to the Vatican. After the meeting, he said that they discussed the situation in the region and that everyone in the Vatican had been vaccinated, and there were no problems with Covid regulations.
After the meeting he also met with journalists and commented on the current situation in Austria and the “ban” for unvaccinated people: “This is terrible in Austria. That is a European problem. How they dealt with Orban’s human rights craziness. Where are these Brussels bureaucrats now? Forbidding people to take to the streets, that is fascism, ”emphasized Milanović.
