For the Reputation Monitor, Cobouw surveyed more than seven companies in the construction sector, more than one hundred and fifty largest construction companies and twenty largest installation companies in the Netherlands. Half of the top 10 is formed by construction companies in Twente.

VolkerWessels (Rijssen) finished at the top, Dura Vermeer (Hengelo) is at 2 and Trebbe (Enschede) at 6. The top 10 also includes Nijhuis (Rijssen) and Plegt-Vos (Hengelo).

The survey looked at, among other things, brand awareness, image and satisfaction when working together. It also increases confidence in the company and the degree to which it distinguishes itself. The ease of doing business with the company is also measured in numbers, as is the likelihood of the company being recommended.

The respondents are clients such as corporations, project developers, investors, but also subcontractors, suppliers, engineering firms, architects and sectors associated with the construction industry.

Nijhuis and Trebbe get the most confidence from the top 10 builders with the best reputation. Boskalis does the best in terms of distinctiveness, followed by Nijhuis and Plegt-Vos.

Dura Vermeer, TBI, VolkerWessels and Plegt-Vos are most often combined with innovation in the sector. Trebbe, Dura Vermeer, TBI and Batenburg Techniek are seen in the market as companies with the most career opportunities for both men and women.

According to the outside world, safety is the highest priority at VolkerWessels and Dura Vermeer. Trebbe and Plegt-Vos are the most impressive when it comes to sustainability.

Not all companies make the list, because too little data can be collected from files. For example Roosdom Tijhuis (Rijssen) misses a good position.
