2,552 new corona infections registered last 24 hours – a new 24-hour record in Norway
The previous record of 2,126 new infections was set on Tuesday a week ago
In the last seven days, an average of 1,760 corona infections have been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 1,467.
On Tuesday, 218 corona patients were hospitalized. There were seven fewer than the day before.
52 of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them 33 are on a respirator. There are one fewer on intensive care and two fewer on a respirator compared with the day before, the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.
At midnight on Wednesday night, a total of 232,839 people tested positive for covid-19 in Norway.
A total of 952 corona-infected people have now died in Norway since March last year, preliminary figures show.
