(hol) Last night (November 15, 2021) a drunk man damaged at least 17 parked cars. An attentive witness followed the vandal’s raid and notified the police. After the arrest, the 43-year-old suspect also tried to hit a police officer.
Shortly after 9 p.m., the 43-year-old started walking at Höchst train station, through Höchst Bahnstrasse and from there on to Konrad-Glatt-Strasse. He repeatedly kicked the exterior mirrors and the fenders of parked vehicles. A 20-year-old witness followed and observed him throughout the route. He notified the emergency number so that the police could arrest the rioter in Zuckschwerdtstrasse. The search of the routes he had traveled led to the discovery of 17 damaged cars. A breath alcohol test carried out on the suspect showed a value beyond two per thousand. On the way to the presidium, the detainee tried to attack the officer sitting next to him. However, the policeman fended off the attack.
Following the identification service, the 43-year-old was taken into custody for the purpose of sobering up. In addition to the criminal proceedings for property damage, there is now another one for an attack on a police officer.
