Toulouse. Several market extensions adopted
The Sunday morning Saint-Aubin market, one of the stars of Toulouse’s markets, with its two hundred food and non-food traders, more than half of whom are producers, had been extended during the health crisis, to respond to the protocol, until in a part of rue Pierre-Paul-Riquet, in front of the Poste Saint-Aubin. This configuration was deemed attractive and, during the municipal council of October 22, elected officials decided to endorse this extension. The small market on Place Saint-Georges, which hosts a greengrocer, a florist, a cheese maker and a fishmonger on Tuesday, Friday, Saturday morning and Wednesday during the day, sees its extended hours. At the request of the scoop and in view of the crowds between noon and 2 p.m., the town hall studied the possibility of an extension from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays and at 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays. The city council approved this modification. The town hall has also renewed an agreement with the traders of the organic market on Tuesday and Saturday, square du Capitole. This convention makes it possible to determine in advance the events which involve a relocation of the market, that is to say the Christmas celebrations, the Bourget sur Garonne and Toulouse à table event as well as exceptional events. The market was then relocated to Place du Capitole or rue d’Alsace-Lorraine.
