The Brno Post building was auctioned for 117 million. The winner of the auction is still anonymous
On Monday, the post office building in Nádražní Street in Brno, standing next to the local main railway station, was won by an interested party in an electronic auction for 117 million crowns. The amount corresponds to the minimum starting price. The winner of the auction is still anonymous. “We cannot disclose whether it is a natural or legal person without his consent,” said Czech Post spokesman Ivo Vysoudil.

The management of České dráhy has a pre-emptive right to the building. “Before we sign a contract with the interested party and invite him to pass the price, we must place the building for the purchase of the Czech Dear,” said Vysoudil.
The auction took place because the state-owned company wanted to get rid of the buildings due to their poor technical condition and its operation did not pay off. It will relocate the existing branch to two new locations to dispel the onslaught of customers. “We are negotiating with the Letmo shopping center to keep the branch close to the transport hub and the bus and train stations. We are planning a second branch in the Šumava Tower,” Vysoudil added.
