SIMFEROPOL, November 15 – RIA Novosti Crimea. The Russian Federation will import goods from the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as part of humanitarian support for these territories. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the document, the Russian government was instructed, within a month, to “provide by exception” the recognition in the Russian Federation of valid certificates of origin of goods issued on the territory of the DPR and LPR. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation must allow goods from the people’s republics into the country “on equal terms with goods of Russian origin.”

As noted in the decree, this is done with the aim of “purchasing goods for state and municipal needs” and purchasing products “by certain types of legal”. At the same time, export and import restrictions are not applied to the DPR and LPR, with the exception of certain types of goods.

In April 2019, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a simplified procedure for granting Russian citizenship to residents of the Donetsk region. Previously, only those who lived in the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR had such an opportunity. To date, more than 600,000 residents of the DPR and LPR have received Russian passports under a simplified scheme.

In the fall of this year, state programs for the provision of voluntary resettlement to the Russian Federation of compatriots living abroad.
