‘The Invisible Husband’ is a hilarious comedy about the disappearance of our relationship life. The two protagonists accompany us with their very personal comedy on a journey that gives the chills for what it is hot and current.
The rich literary, theatrical and cinematographic repertoire on theinvisibility: from the novel by Herbert George Welles of 1897 with its numerous cinematographic transpositions to Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, from Boccaccio’s short story ‘Calandrino, Bruno and Buffalmacco‘, to the Harry Potter cloak, to the films of Gabriele Salvatores.
The show will revolve around a video chat between two fifty-year-old friends, Fiamma and Lorella, who have not seen each other for some time.
The customary greetings, some chat, until Lorella announces surprisingly: I got married! That would be extraordinary in itself, given her proverbial bad luck with men. But it becomes even more incredible when she reveals that her new husband has a peculiarity: it is invisible. Fiamma fears that the isolation has caused irreparable damage to her friend’s mind. He proposes to help her, but hasn’t come to terms with the fatal, bewildering, attraction of all of us to invisibility. Thanks to a careful and effective video and visual design, made possible by the use of modern technologies (webcam, blue screen, video effects), the actresses video chat while acting (or act video chat) highlighting even more strengths and weaknesses of the social tools and their effects on their effects human relations.
