You can apply even if you have not completed the degree by the end of the application period. In this case, you do not need to submit a diploma at the time of application. If you are accepted into the master’s program, the admission decision is conditional and you must complete and submit a diploma by the end of August.
However, you must submit a transcript of records or a certified copy of the certificate on the basis of which you wish to apply for the master’s program.
It is impossible to judge in advance whether you will be eligible for a program that interests you.
All applications submitted to the Application Services by the deadline and in accordance with the instructions will be evaluated by the relevant training program. You can apply for a first, second cycle or doctoral degree. If you have completed another degree that you intend to use when applying, the University of Helsinki will assess the suitability of the degree for application to the master’s programs after submitting the application.

Attachments
You will not be able to email attachments related to your application.

If the attachments arrive late or have deficiencies that have not been rectified within the time allowed for completing the application, your application will be rejected.
Submit attachments by the end of the application period. If you have not submitted the attachments as required by the end of the application period, you will have an additional three weeks to submit the attachments as required. We do not allow additional time to send attachments. If the attachments do not arrive on time and as requested, your application will be rejected.
We do not return attachments sent to us. For this reason, we ask you to send officially certified copies documents and not, for example, original diplomas.
Translation by a certified translator
Certified translations of documents are provided by certified translators. In Finland, certified translators are those who have the right to work in accordance with the Act on Certified Translators (1231/2007). The register (in Finnish and Swedish) maintained by the National Board of Education can also be used to obtain information on authorized translators in Finland. If you are not in Finland, you can also get a certified translation from an authorized translator living in your country of residence.
A translation produced by the institution that originally issued the document
We accept translations provided by the institution that originally issued the document. If the institution issues the document directly in Finnish, Swedish or English, a separate translation is not required.
Yes, you must provide a translation of the educational background, unless it is entirely in Finnish, Swedish or English.
All applicants must submit the annexes referred to in the application guidelines. If you do not submit a transcript, your application will be rejected.
Follow country-specific requirements from the country where the graduating university is located.
For example, if you studied in Pakistan but your background was issued by a university in England, you will need to follow English guidelines.
