des grands crus de Bourgogne volés et… retrouvés
The facts happened on the night of Thursday 11 to Friday 12 November in the cargo area
The thieves were obviously well informed. During the night of Thursday 11 to Friday 12 November, shortly after midnight, several individuals approached a road unit parked in the cargo area in Bordeaux and discreetly cut the tarpaulin to enter the trailer which contained a load of bottles of great Burgundy wines. The driver was sleeping soundly when he suddenly heard a noise. But when he got out of his cabin, it was too late. The thieves had taken away many cases of the precious nectar estimated at several tens of thousands of euros.
The alert was given immediately to the central police station. The Information and Command Center (CIC) immediately broadcast a message over the airwaves and several patrols headed for the cargo area. The thieves, apparently in a rush, abandoned much of their booty on the way before disappearing. The police recovered the prestigious bottles and returned them to their legitimate carrier. The investigations entrusted to the brigade for the repression of attacks on property (Brab) of the Departmental Security are continuing to try to find the perpetrators of these facts.
