Delayed test evaluations: call for exceptions
There have to be alternatives if a test result does not arrive in time to bring the employees into the company, business owners demand – at least until the testing works without problems and long delays. One can imagine an FFP2 mask requirement as an exception.
Approval also from the Salzburg Chamber of Labor
The President of the Chamber of Labor, Peter Eder, agreed on Monday. Those who would make rules now would not have felt obliged to do their homework beforehand. “Neither employers nor employees, who are now both burdened with punitive threats in the regulation, can do something for this failure.” Therefore it is important to fall back on the FFP2 mask and to allow this to apply.
PCR testing is “hurdles”
Currently, the result within 24 hours of a PCR test in Salzburg is by far not a sure thing. The Salzburg lawyer and councilor Florian Kreibich (VP) found on Monday only one pharmacy that he can take the test and immediately expect a guaranteed result, he said. “It is a hurdle race and it is incomprehensible that there is no easy way to do a PCR test,” says Kreibich.
Country: Longer waiting times only at “Salzburg Gurgelt”
PCR tests are currently possible in pharmacies, self-tests at home such as the “Salzburg gargles” campaign and the Red Cross test centers. The state said on Monday that there were problems with the tests only with “Salzburg gargles”, 20 percent of the tests would take longer than the promised maximum 24 hours. Officially ordered tests and the tests at the Red Cross stations, on the other hand, would be evaluated analogously.
Loss of sales in retail after the first day of lockdown
Also in Salzburger Handele Mann, new regulations will die from Monday. There are sales losses, it said pages of the old town association. In Salzburg’s largest shopping center, there was talk of a decline in sales of around ten percent.
The regulations were checked by the police – the feedback was positive and there were only a few violations, said state police director Bernhard Rausch on Monday evening. There is great understanding among the population. Every police check is linked to compliance with the applicable CoV rules, said Rausch.
