Canadian singer Justin Bieber will return to Prague
Canadian singer Justin Bieber will return to Prague after seven years. Not next year, but only on March 12, 2023, he will perform at the O2 arena in Prague, where he will present this year’s album Justice. The concert was announced on Monday by the Bestsport agency from the PPF group, which operates the largest Czech covered hall.
Tickets will be on sale from this Friday, November 19 in the morning on the Ticketmaster and Ticketportal networks.
Bieber has been to the Czech Republic only once, performing in the same place in November 2016. This time he will return on the occasion of a worldwide tour for the album Justice. Starting next May in Mexico, the singer will gradually complete over 90 evenings in 20 countries. The Prague stop will be one of the last. The tour will culminate in Poland.
On this year’s Justice album, the 27-year-old Canadian, who has been singing since he was 14, confesses his love for his wife and God. It reflects a difficult period when he canceled part of the tour due to exhaustion, depression, borreliosis and other health problems, and also lets the voice of Martin Luther King be heard.
According to critic Ondřej Horák, although Bieber grew up to be a singer, he has not yet recovered from the life crisis. “The Justice album is stylistically straddled. It oscillates from acoustic soul and synth pop through reggaeton and ballads to Christian rock, in some places you can even hear elements of the guitar new wave.
The album was released in March, debuting as the most streaming in 117 countries and recording almost 9 billion streams, according to the Prague concert organizers.
Justin Bieber is one of the most successful pop idols of the new millennium, making his 2009 debut with My World, which he released at the age of fifteen.
