Digital Swiss 5 is a digital cycling event for professionals as well as for a limited number of amateur cyclists. The race will be held on intelligent indoor bikes that are connected to one another via the ROUVY platform. The atmosphere of the sporting event is enhanced by a light show and a DJ in the arena. There are also stands where interesting partner products are presented.
ROUVY, which became part of the Pale Fire Capital investment conglomerate in August 2021, aims to become the world’s number one in bicycle applications. This platform has become the first choice for the most realistic indoor training. With the help of augmented reality and 3D cyclist avatars, cycle routes from different parts of the world are brought into the user’s home. Hundreds of routes in augmented reality (Mont Ventoux, Stelvio, Cap de Formentor, …) as well as almost 10,000 real routes help athletes to stay in shape and be motivated to ride at any time and in any weather.
Parallel to the amateur race in the Saalsporthalle, the same racing series will also be held digitally (registrations open). Anyone who owns a Smart Trainer can participate from home.
