More than 800 students show interest in a successful career start | Personal appointment offer full of success | Online as an advantage for international exchange
80 companies and organizations from all over the world took part in the MCI Recruiting Forum using virtual exhibition stands. Also this year, live chats via text and video enabled personal conversations between the participating students and company representatives, which often ended in appointments for an interview.
Internationality through online event
“With the decision to hold the Recruiting Forum online again, we were also able to enable students who are currently on an internship or are abroad to participate. We also wanted to make it possible for representatives of those who have a hard time traveling due to the corona to attend “, explains Brigitte Huter, Head of the Student & Career Center at MCI.
Wide range of employers
International corporations such as Mondelez International, which has several thousand employees, employs renowned Swarovski family businesses such as Adler Optik, innovative start-ups such as Single Use Support or well-known NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders take part in the non-binding event for MCI students.
The lecture by Red Bull, one of the most popular employers in Austria, on the subject of “giving your career wings” was followed with great interest. The presentations by SalaryNegotiations and LinkedIn also attracted many students to the fair. Manfred Forstinger, Chairman of the MCI University Representation, is enthusiastic about the concept: “In addition to the practical orientation of the MCI, the Recruiting Forum offers an optimal platform to get in direct contact with employers and to discover companies, their job offers and requirements, in order to create a direct connection point to the professional world. “
New tools for easier contact
The new tool ‘find & be found’ took the MCI Online Recruiting Forum to the next level and met with great enthusiasm. Students had the unique opportunity to make appointments in advance with companies of their choice. At the same time, companies could see the profile of the registered students and, if interested, contact them in advance. “For us, the Recruiting Forum is one of the most important career fairs of the year. We have already been able to inspire many MCI employees for Liebherr. This year, in advance of the event, we had the opportunity to invite interesting and interested students to talks on the day of the fair. It was very worth it “, says Benjamin Schlesinger, Personnel Officer at Liebherr-Werk Telfs.
