Salzburg defender Okoh is out for a long time with a torn cruciate ligament – football
Salzburg – Sunday, November 14th, 2021, 10:29 am
This is not how Bryan Okoh imagined his first call-up to the Swiss national team. The 18-year-old defender of series champions Red Bull Salzburg tore a cruciate ligament rupture in his right knee during training with the “Nati” and will be absent for the people of Mozartstadt for a long time.
As the Salzburg residents announced on Sunday, Okoh will be examined on his return in order to be able to decide on the further treatment steps.
Okoh, who switched from FC Lausanne to the “red bulls” two years ago, has only played one competitive game for the Salzburg professionals. In the 8-0 win in the ÖFB Cup against Kalsdorf, the native Texan completed 33 minutes and scored one goal.
Okoh, the client at FC Liefering in the ADMIRAL 2nd league, has played twelve games in Austria’s second-highest division and two games in the youth league this season. His contract in Salzburg was only extended early in the summer to May 31, 2025.
