“Every week ahead of time” is the new claim of the weekly newspaper WOZ. He sums up what has always distinguished the WOZ. On the one hand, the extraordinarily high journalistic quality and, on the other hand, a keen sense for socially relevant topics long before they hit the mainstream. It is not for nothing that the largest left-wing and independent weekly newspaper in Switzerland has the highest value for reporting quality in the comparison group of the media quality ranking 2020, according to a press release.
The campaign for the 40th anniversary was also about the progressiveness of the WOZ. With tongue-in-cheek headlines it is made clear that the WOZ has always recognized and dealt with social and political issues more quickly – and is therefore always ahead of its time. The new claim is therefore the perfect tie, they say.
The campaign runs from Monday 15th November. Digital out-of-home posters, hanging boxes in public transport, cinema slides and advertisements in some print publications such as the NZZ, “Le Monde diplomatique” and other media are used. These media are flanked by a social media measure.
