Corona demonstrations in Zurich and Geneva
Coronavirus – Switzerland – Opponents of the corona measures demonstrated in Zurich-Oerlikon on Saturday afternoon. Among other things, they criticized the behavior of the media during the pandemic. In addition, around 2500 people took to the streets in Geneva.
The approved rally in Leutschenpark, right next to the SRF radio and television studios, was attended by an estimated several hundred people. The “Education for All” committee, which campaigns against the requirement for certificates at universities, has called for a demo.
Various speakers criticized the Corona protective measures and the role of the media in connection with Covid-19. The big media would report unilaterally and stir up unnecessary fear instead of criticizing the actions of politics and authorities.
Around 2500 people gathered for a demonstration in Geneva. They were led by about 30 Freedom Tryps and dragged from Place Neuve to Place des Nations. As usual, the demonstrators shouted “Liberté, liberté!”. With the demonstration they wanted to warn against “discrimination, mass surveillance and forced vaccinations”.
In Geneva, too, several speakers criticized the new Covid law as a “dangerous tightening” of the law. They also attacked the authorities’ “lies” about the health crisis. According to the Geneva police, no incidents have been reported.
