Toulouse. It’s circus night until Sunday, here’s the program
The night of the circus takes place in Toulouse until Sunday, November 14. The JT gives you the program for this weekend.
After a digital-only edition, the third edition of La nuit du cirque started on Friday 12th and runs until Sunday 14th November. Yes, “a 72-hour night,” notes La Grainerie, which acts as Toulouse’s relay for the event. The night of the circus is organized by the association Territoires de cirque in Toulouse and throughout France. Better, this meeting is now international, since it is offered in twelve other countries.
Here is the program of La nuit du cirque à Toulouse
Saturday November 13 at 6.30 p.m. at the Théâtre Jules-Julien: From single to double by the company Embrouillamini. Creation 2021, from 8 years old, 6/12 €, 50 min.
Monstrous when they are one, divide convulsively, in symbiosis when they meet again, Marthe and Elda obtain their imperfect agreement in their absurd reality. They let themselves be guessed through a language and gestures full of tics and tocs. Between dance-theater, hip-hop and circus, the confusion brought to its climax becomes coherent: a big organized mess. So life.
Saturday November 13 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Bijou: The caravel and the white bird by the company Carbone invisible. Creation 2022 in progress, from 8 years old, free on reservation, 50 min.
An enigmatic man greets the audience. Arkhmann Ürdji, a disturbing and reassuring character at the same time, a sort of modern-day mage, delivers a life story mixing travel anecdotes and reflections on reality. This surprising theatrical story, using the techniques of new magic, illusionism and mentalism, questions beliefs, our beliefs and invites us to amazing supernatural experiences.
Saturday November 13 at 8:30 p.m. at the Grainerie: The song of vertigo (in photo, preview) by the company Lapsus. Creation 2021, from 9 years old, 9/15 €, 1h30.
Vertigo is when certainties escape. Vertigo is when the benchmarks are distorted. And the vertigo is today. Between circus, theater and poetry in action, up to systema (martial art that takes body and mind into areas of extreme tension), the Toulouse company Lapsus is joining forces with the writer Pierre Ducrozet to question a new relationship in living things, questioning our place, our relationship to the soil, our ability to invest the world in the face of declining biodiversity.
Sunday November 14 at 2 p.m. then 4 p.m. at the Grainerie: Circus at the Night of the Circus, initiation workshops for all audiences by the Par Haz’art association. All ages, € 3/5, 2 hours.
The Par Haz’art association invites you to discover the circus in all its forms. For the small, the medium, the large, the immense, for the ordinary and the extraordinary, the curious, the skeptics, initiation workshops (balance on objects, trapeze, acrobatics, juggling …) are offered during an afternoon of sharing and conviviality.
Par Haz’art is an adapted circus school which develops numerous partnerships with institutions (medico-educational institutes, Sessad Autism, CHU…) in order to situate the circus as a mediation activity. Its team also offers weekly workshops for all audiences: babies / parents, children, teenagers, adults, seniors, with or without disabilities.
Sunday November 14 at 4 p.m. at La Grainerie: Workshop restitution, numbers and open stage with Frec Midi-Py (regional federation of circus schools) and Cie Roberte et Robert. From 5 years old, free, 3 hours.
