The Russian national team lost to Sweden in the Karjala Cup, Michkov scored a lacrosse goal
Today, November 13, in Helsinki at the Hartwall Arena, the Swedish national team met with the Russian national team. The meeting ended with the victory of the Swedes with a score of 4: 2 (1: 0, 2: 2, 1: 0).
In the 19th minute of the first period, the forward of the Swedish national team Anton Bengtsson opened the scoring. He was assisted by Pontus Holmberg. Matvey Michkov scored a lacrosse-style puck in the 22nd minute of the meeting. Shakir Mukhamadullin and Artyom Galimov became his assistants. The Swedes managed to come out ahead in 2 minutes thanks to the efforts Karl Klingberg, but Galimov equalized the score already in the 26th minute after the transmissions of Sergei Telegin and Arseny Koromyslov.
In the 35th minute, the Swedes scored Anton Lander, at the 47th Klingberg issued a double.
This was the second game of the Russians in the Karjala Cup. In the first meeting, the national team lost to Finland with a score of 0: 3.
Also at the tournament the Russian national team will play with the Czech Republic. The match will take place on Sunday, November 14th. The beginning is at 14:30 Moscow time.
