Another unpleasant closure on the D5 motorway is ending, the road from Pilsen to Prague is once again open to motorists | Transport News Plzeňská Drbna
The repaired three-kilometer section of the motorway near Rokycany in the direction of Prague will be open to drivers this weekend. On Monday at the latest, the section between kilometers 67.33 – 64.35 will be passable again without restrictions. Columns should no longer form at the site.
Motorists will be able to drive on the highway at the end of the feeder from Pilsen in front of Ejpovice. On the repaired part of the D5 laser, the builders for 229 million crowns with VAT longitudinal unevenness on the road surface.
“The work has been going on since the first half of September. The repair itself had to be carried out mainly due to the formation of longitudinal irregularities in the road surface. In addition to the repair of the road surface and the middle dividing strip, the solved section was modified with rainwater drainage, bridge structure, fencing, as well as with the procedure for SOS sounds and protection of the optical route and cable lines. ” he said Adam Koloušek from the communication team of the Directorate of Roads and Motorways (ŘSD).
During the repair, the entrance to the D5 motorway near Ejpovice (EXIT 67) in the direction of Prague was closed from 6 September. Drivers heading to Central Bohemia or Prague have so far had to take the D5 either in Černice (EXIT 76) or in Rokycany (EXIT 61).
From last weekend, motorists arriving from Prague to Pilsen via the D5 motorway can once again use the repaired road from the Kyšice turnoff to the central cemetery. For almost four months, ŘSD repaired 3.2 kilometers of road for more than 44 million crowns, drivers are again available there on two lanes to Pilsen and Prague.
