Zurich: Brazilians in court for murder of Ronaldo-Coiffeur
The room is full of blood. And in the middle: a dead man. He’s badly battered. A cleaning lady found the body of Tiago L. * († 40) on November 1, 2019 in a room of the business hotel Residence Appartements in Zurich-Albisrieden. The Portuguese has lived in Switzerland since 2017, worked as a hairdresser and make-up artist. Among other things, even for football star Cristiano Ronaldo (36).
But then his life ends in a brutal way. The perpetrator: Gabriel R. * (41). The Brazilian must answer for the murder on Friday in the Zurich District Court.
According to the indictment, the two men may have died for some time and had met before for sex and drugs. So also on November 1, 2019. They shared with an Uber in the early morning in the hotel in Zurich-Albisrieden.

Tiago L. had rented a room on the first floor for a few days. Once there, sex takes place and the men consume drugs together. The public prosecutor’s office is certain: the Brazilian attacked the Portuguese between 7 and 9 a.m. Why is not clear. Also whether the attack happened after or during sex.
The fact is: Gabriel R. maltreated Tiago L. with punches and kicks. Again and again he beat his victim. With fatal consequences. The list of injuries is long and shows how brutal and unscrupulous the defendant was. The skull of Tiago L. was smashed, the front of the larynx was broken. His body was covered with bleeding and stab wounds. Because Gabriel R. also picked up a knife during his attack.

According to the indictment, Tiago L. died of a “combined effect of asphyxiation by inhalation of blood and bleeding to death”. It is clear to the public prosecutor that the Brazilian was “particularly cold-blooded and merciless against the victim”.
After the bloodbath, Gabriel R. put on clean clothes from the Portuguese and left the hotel room with a black trolley suitcase from Tiago L. and a shoulder bag. At 9.21 a.m. he got on the 33 bus and drove home. In the evening he was arrested and lived in Limmattal prison on November 2, 2019. Now he has to answer in court for the murder of his lover. The verdict is expected next week.
