Two killed in the Donbass: among the losses of a high-ranking paratrooper officer
On Friday in Donbass two Ukrainian paratroopers from the 79th brigade were killed – they exploded on a mine.
“Lieutenant Colonel Ruslan Khalilovych Prusov and Master Sergeant Vadym Viktorovych Fedoseev were killed while performing a combat mission in the area of environmental protection,” informs 79th Separate Assault Brigade on Facebook.
In the press center of the Joint Forces Operation addthat the fighters exploded “on an enemy unknown device.”
Deputy Brigade Commander Yaroslav Kalashnikov suggests that it may be a landmine.
“It happened around noon. The car in which fighters moved, exploded on an anti-tank mine. Probably, the landmine was put,” – to consider he is in a comment to “Public”.
Mentions of the paratrooper officer (then a major) Ruslan Prusov can be found in memories about the battles for Donetsk airport in the winter of 2015.
The 79th Brigade is a unit that has long held the defense in the old and new DAP terminals.
More than 70 deaths a year
By data Four Ukrainian fighters have been killed at the front since the beginning of November.
