The winners of the Facade of the Year 2021 competition have been announced.

On November 11, it was announced ten times Facade Year 2021 winners of the competition. At the gala evening, the jury of renowned experts nominated the winners of one million forints and five special prize winners in five categories out of 199 applications.

THE family house, condominium, energy renovation, public building and monument The Facade of the Year competition, which lists the category, was able to present outstanding high-quality entries for the tenth time this year within the framework of the closing of the competition, the organizer’s announcement writes.

A total of 19 entries were recognized at the November awards ceremony. The best of each category received a prize of one million forints each, and the other special prize winners of the categories were recognized with a diploma.

A total of 199 applications were received for one of the most prestigious and award-winning architectural competitions in Hungary, in each of which the architects and contractors designed the design of the new or renovated facade. Baumit technology was used. The best of the five categories Bence Vadász Ybl and Pro Architectura Award-winning architect; Jánosi János Ybl and Pro Architectura Award-winning architect; Klára Máté editor-in-chief of Magyar Építésechnika; Dr. Gábor Tari PhD is an associate professor at the Technical University and Vidor Victor may have been appointed by the Director of Central Europe for Xella. In addition to recognizing the jury, two Baumit special prizes were awarded and the winner of the public vote in September was announced.

“Although the epidemic situation of the past year has created difficult conditions in all parts of the world, the 199 high-quality entries received for the Facade of the Year 2021 competition still show continuous quality improvement. Proving that sustainable architecture, value creation and its preservation can and does find its way in all circumstances is particularly important to pay attention to. That is why Baumit continues to strive to find and recognize outstanding works of Hungarian architecture through the tender, introducing them to the general public and supporting the further development of the Hungarian construction industry, ”says Vas József, technical manager at Baumit.
