Nuclear: Iran, Vienna talks to remove US-Asia sanctions

(ANSA) – ISTANBUL, NOV 12 – The starting point of the nuclear talks in Vienna will be the removal of the American sanctions imposed on Iran. This was stated by the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri, in an interview with the Irna agency, during his visit to London where he met the Minister for North Africa and the Middle East at the British Foreign Department James Cleverly in view of the negotiations for relaunch the nuclear deal scheduled in Vienna on 29 November.

“The root of the problems to be discussed is the US request for a nuclear deal and the imposition of new sanctions against Iran,” said Bagheri referring to the decision of former US President Donald Trump to withdraw the US from the 2018 nuclear pact found in Vienna together with China, Russia, France, Great Britain as well as Iran. Prior to the United Kingdom, as Tehran’s chief nuclear negotiator, Bagheri had traveled to France and Germany where he had preparatory meetings for the Vienna talks with the other European countries that signed the 2015 agreement.
