In Russia, they thought about creating compensation for tourists. Rosturizm is working on solving the problem of compensation for travelers. The department raffled off a state contract for almost seven million rubles for the provision of services for the development of financial support mechanisms for the responsibility of tourist operators.
“Insurance coverage is simply not enough for medium-sized tour operators, even more so for large ones. <...> Almost no insurance company wants insurance tour operators in the pandemic. “
Earlier, the Russians were told about the peculiarities of receiving insurance payments in case of infection with COVID-19 before or during vacation. So, many tourists are faced with problems of compensation for a trip due to positive tests for coronavirus. For example, some companies refuse to refund money if, in addition to the test results, an official doctor’s opinion is not provided.
