Health – Hanover – Lord Mayor: 2G and mandatory vaccination for certain professions – health
Hanover (dpa / lni) – The Lord Mayors’ Conference of the Lower Saxony City Council has called for mandatory vaccination for certain occupational groups. In old people’s and nursing homes, hospitals, schools and day-care centers, a mandatory vaccination should be introduced for employees, the committee announced on Friday. In total, the committee proposed ten measures for the “Corona winter 2021/2022”.
For the gastronomy and leisure sector, the mayors are calling for nationwide 2G regulation in closed rooms. Christmas markets should only be visited by vaccinated and convalescent people (2G).
Exceptions are therefore needed for people who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons. From the point of view of the committee, 3G should apply nationwide at the workplace
The mobile vaccination teams should be expanded and adequately equipped. A booster vaccination should be possible for everyone and more federal and state personnel should be used to trace contacts. The hospitals must become necessary.
Free tests for people who can but don’t get vaccinated, the panel divided. “The federal government must continue to adhere to the fact that unvaccinated people cannot take free corona tests,” it said.
