2G gold-plated from Monday also for private celebrations in Berlin
Vaccinated or recovered? Only those who can answer this question with “yes” will be able to attend larger private celebrations in Berlin from next week. The Senate Chancellery emphasizes that this is part of the new 2G rule. Difficulties threaten with control and enforcement.
In Berlin, the so-called 2G rule also applies to private parties from Monday. The Senate Chancellery confirmed this to the rbb on request.
The requirement that everyone must either be vaccinated or recovered applies to a number of 20 people indoors – regardless of where the party takes place. In principle, there is also an upper limit of 50 guests for indoors, emphasizes the authority.
2G on Monday for all of Berlin
From Monday, they will be gilded across the board for Berlin 2G rule. From then on, only those who have been fully vaccinated or have recovered may enter restaurants, theaters and all other indoor events. A negative test is then no longer sufficient.
Districts do not have the capacity to control the regulations
However, the districts are sounding the alarm because they do not see themselves in a position to control the new regulations. The district offices do not have the capacity for comprehensive monitoring of the 2G rules, which have been significantly expanded from Monday, i.e. the result of a survey by the German press agency. Had already died on Thursday Police union GdP warned that the controls could hardly be created across the board. The Dehoga had welcomed the regulation, but warned that it would only take effect if it is also checked.
With the current workforce, the public order office can only control a particular focus, according to the assessment from the Lichtenberg district. “Neither in the field service nor for the processing of the procedure in the office service are sufficient staff available for a comprehensive, intensive monitoring,” says the Steglitz-Zehlendorf public order office.
“Comprehensive control not feasible”
It is currently being examined how the highest possible control pressure can be built up with the most targeted personnel deployment possible in order to investigate complaints quickly and to enable controls in the entire city district. The Tempelhof-Schöneberg district office assesses the situation similarly: “A comprehensive inspection
is not affordable. “
The regulatory office in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf has announced that it will intensify the checks “while deferring other tasks” when the new regulations come into force. “Even with better staffing, comprehensive controls would not be possible due to the size of the district and the size of the institutions to be checked.”
