The Mediterranean island of Malta is the latest destination in the Challenge Family international triathlon series. Malta’s inaugural Challenge will take place on Sunday 15 May 2022 with a 113km coast-to-coast course taking in the country’s scenery.

The athletes will start their race with a 1.9km swim in the clear waters of Golden Bay on the North West coast of Malta. Its Blue Flag certification places Golden Bay among the best beaches in the world.
The 90km bike is a four-lap track that runs through the island from west coast to east and back, taking a mix of dramatic rural inland coastal roads, including the coastal road. of the known Salina.
Exiting T2 at Golden Bay, the 21.1km point-to-point run crosses the island along a varied terrain with a final line right on the shore of the historic city of Sliema on the coast. of the East.
