Corona – 20,000 people checked in Salzburg after a separation decision
Against the background of tightened corona measures, the Salzburg magistrate published an activity report on Friday. The control pressure increases.
To control the 3G and 2G rules, the municipal authorities and the police have jointly carried out ten key actions since July. Both authorities are constantly checking compliance with the regulations more independently of one another. Due to the current situation, the control pressure is increased.
A total of 30 administrative criminal proceedings have been carried out at the Criminal Police Office since July. In addition, through the police’s own controls, mandates were given to organs.
In addition, since the beginning of the pandemic, the employees of the Office for Public Order have checked around 20,000 segregated persons for compliance with the relevant notices.
According to Ulrich Roider, Head of the Office for Public Order of the City of Salzburg, a “very high moral standard” was found.
Roider: “At the moment we are increasingly on the move together. In total, since the summer, his office has closely scrutinized over 300 companies in terms of compliance with the Corona rules. Namely: restaurants, night catering, accommodation and leisure facilities, in particular brothels and body-friendly service providers.
“All in all, there is a high level of acceptance of the measures and a correspondingly good degree of implementation,” emphasizes Roider. If necessary, legal advice is provided on site because of the frequently changing regulations, according to the head of the office. There are currently further controls.
