Câmara de Lisboa defend supporting 34 BIP / ZIP projects worth 2.11 million euros | Lisbon
The Municipality of Lisbon supports 34 projects of the 11th edition of the BIP / ZIP program – Neighborhoods and Priority Intervention Zones, in a municipal investment of 2.11 million euros, according to the proposal for the approval of the final classification list.
“In view of the pleasant allocation, it will be possible to financially support, in the edition of the program BIP / ZIP Lisbon 2021 – Local Partnerships, the first 34 best classified candidacies, which is equivalent to a global funding amount of 2,110,846 euros, of which result 464,435 euros to support in 2021, 1,083,683 euros in 2022 and the remaining 562,728 euros in 2023″, reads the proposal that will be discussed at the chamber meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 17, and which the Lusa agency had access to .
The 11th edition of the BIP / ZIP program, in which the period for submitting applications took place between May 14th and June 21st of this year, through the platform connected, called “94 applications, proposing 535 activities, covering 67 BIP / ZIP territories, with a total budget of 6,546,399 euros (5,246,720 euros requested from the BIP / ZIP program and 1,299,679 euros as a contribution from community support networks ) ”.
According to the proposal for approval of the final classification list of the BIP / ZIP program and download of funds for the promoters, presented by the councilor for Housing at the Lisbon City Council, Filipa Roseta (PSD), in this year’s edition 244 candidates applied entities, being 86 promoters and 158 partners and, “among the competent entities, 19 Parish Councils of the 23 with BIP / ZIP territories are identified, being formal partners in 64 applications”.
Service “the expressive success of activating and boosting the initiative and local development translated by the approval of 392 BIP / ZIP projects from previous editions”, as well as the amount of 470,377 euros foreseen in this year’s budget for the first installment of this edition, the objective was “Supporting as many applications as possible within the available allocation limits”.
The 34 best classified applications, after evaluation by the program jury, “will carry out 210 activities in 67 BIP / ZIP territories, with a total budget of 2,638,096 euros (2,110,846 euros requested from the BIP / ZIP program and 527,250 euros as a contribution) community support networks) ”, indicates the proposal, adding that the selected projects involve 128 different entities, of which 37 are promoters and 91 are partners, including 14 Parish Councils that are formal partners in 24 projects.
This 11th edition of the program had as a novelty the introduction of the “Good Practices” dimension, for innovative projects, “with significant impact, generating continuous and measurable added value in BIP / ZIP territories”, which will last at least 18 months and maximum of 24 months.
Among the 34 projects to be supported are, in descending order of best ranking, “Roda Viva”, by Associação Descalçada; “Royal_Cine 22 (Cinema for all)”, by SUMO – Associação de Difusão Cultural; “Brincapé – Com tralha”, by APSI – Association for the Promotion of Child Safety; “Mudança (H) Terra”, by the Renovar a Mouraria Association; “Geração Floresce”, from Associação Geração com Futuro; “Wake up your future!”, by VMBA – Association of Residents Viver Melhor no Beato; “My Life has Stories”, by Associação Histórias Desenhadas; “Rebenta a Bolha”, by the “Eco-stylist” Youth Inter-help Association; “Germinar a Seed Bank”, by Associação Margens Simples; and “Requalifying Fora de Portas”, by the Association of Residents of Bº of PRODAC Norte (1st Phase).
In the 2020 edition of the BIP / ZIP program, the Lisbon City Council unanimously approved the support of 37 projects, in a municipal investment of 1.6 million euros.
