Toulouse. Michel Sarran is releasing a book “to bring this little thing that will change the recipe”

It was released on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. The new book by Michel sarran entitled A chef in my kitchen, is now available in bookstores. The book, edited by Michel Lafon, was produced in partnership with Kitchen, the famous recipe site.
A work of 80 recipes
After writing Itineraries of tastes four years ago, a geographical and gastronomic work, the chef of Toulouse put the cover back with a book that brings together 80 recipes. In it, the two-Michelin-starred cook revisits recipes from the Marmiton community.
For its exit, the former juror of the competition Excellent chef an answer to questions fromToulouse news. The opportunity to take stock of the projects of the one who has just joined the cast of the series “Here everything begins”, broadcast on TF1.
Simple dishes with the Michel Sarran “touch”
News: What do you think are the three essential recipes in this new book?
Michel Sarran: Honestly, I’m happy with all of the recipes. There is one that is very easy to make, it is veal tartare with Asian flavors. She “matches” well! I can also say the croque-monsieur because there is an identity and that corresponds to the history of Croq’Michel (his chain of restaurants dedicated to the croque-monsieur, editor’s note). There is also a Norwegian chestnut omelet… I could name many others!
Is cooking like a two-starred chef within everyone’s reach?
MRS : I am dedicated to simplifying as much as possible. These are simple recipes from the Marmiton community. I did not want to bring complexity, technique which is too complicated for the neophyte. I’m here to bring this little thing that will change your recipe.
Is writing other books part of your future plans?
MRS : Not at all. This one, I didn’t think it would sell. Before Michel Lafon editions contacted me in July, I didn’t think at all that I would be releasing a book by the end of the year. It was not at all premeditated! It’s a challenge that I was thrown at and how I love them… That’s how this book was born.
He plays his own role in “Here everything begins”
We recently learned that you are joining the cast of the “Here Everything Begins” series. Has the shooting started?
MRS : Absolutely.
Do you feel a little apprehensive?
MRS : It is never easy. Again, it’s an additional challenge, but I like it! When the production contacted me, I told them: “Why not”. I’m always fond of new adventures, but that doesn’t mean I’m laid back …
You play your own part. How are your first steps in front of the camera going?
MRS : There is a presence to be had. Even if I’m playing my part, it still has to keep the conversation going. The texts are written. I have to work on them, learn them, even if I can submit changes if I feel that they are not faithful to my way of expressing myself. And then, getting into a plot is never easy and it always puts a little pressure!
