No green pass, even in Genoa there will be areas off-limits to protests: today the decision of the committee
Genoa. There directive signed by the minister Luciana Lamorgese arrived yesterday late in the evening and again the prefect Renato Franceschelli summoned at 5pm today the committee for public order and safety than to decide its concrete application in Genoa. They start studying at the police station map of squares and streets that could be banned, from Piazza Matteotti to De Ferrari, just to give a few examples, but nothing has yet been decided.
In fact, on the basis of the Interior Ministry directive, in agreement with the latter and the mayors, to identify “specifics sensitive urban areas, of particular interest for the orderly development of community life, which may be subject to a temporary ban on public events for the duration of the state of emergency, due to the current pandemic situation “.
It will be precisely the committee for public order and safety to decide but it is by no means excluded that this Saturday will already be traditional no green pass procession, which a few days ago had been forewarned at the police headquarters with departure at 4pm from Piazza De Ferrari and the usual day around the center cannot take place in those ways or, indeed, be allowed only as a static garrison in another square among those considered less sensitive.
The commissioner, explains the directive, having received the indications of the prefect, on the basis of the Tulps will be able to establish that “certain events can only be held in compliance with specific methods of a restrictive nature”, for which, for example “it may be possible to carry out the performance in static form instead of the dynamic one or provided for the regulation of suitable routes to preserve nerve center urban areas “
“I haven’t read the circular yet – says the mayor of Genoa Marco Bucci asked about the intentions regarding the parades in the city center – so that this afternoon we have a meeting in the Prefecture and we will also see with the commissioner what can be done. So what people she is not happy that via XX Settembre is blocked every Saturday afternoon: nobody likes those but they are what happens when our freedom affects others “.
