Maradona, new mural in Naples with the legendary free kick against Juve
It was supposed to be revealed last Sunday, but the bad weather that hit Naples prevented the inauguration of the new mural which will be dedicated to Diego Armando Maradona. The appointment is only postponed: Sunday 14 November, at 11 am at the municipal field of Qualiano, the association Soccer Maradona and friends will lift the veil to the work-tribute to the former Argentine champion who wore the shirt of Naples, almost a year after his disappearance.

The mural was strongly desired by the entire community of Qualiano, with the grant of the Municipal Council and a fundraiser that allowed the creation of the artist “Genny Spray” on a wall of the municipal field. «A memory and a tribute to the champion who Diego Maradona it was and for what it meant here at Naples»- Giuseppe Fertuso, president of the Association tells Il Mattino -« Our project started immediately after Diego’s death, but since September we have been set in motion thanks to the help of everyone to be able to carry it out ». In the mural – almost 3 meters in height and over 6 meters in length – the famous free kick kicked and scored by Diego in November 1985 against the Juventus, at the then San Paolo Stadium, with the face of the Pibe de Oro.
