“The original demolition area has been in place since 2018. We have verified that the conditions of the demolition area have been met. Although demolition was allowed, the building still operates a restaurant. The networks were not disconnected during the demolition. The construction is managed on a demolition average as one building. These facts are in direct conflict with the issued demolition order and pose a risk of direct threat to the public safety of the people present in the restaurant as well as a general threat. ” explains the position of the town hall deputy mayor Eva Tylová (Pirates).
According to her, the building is not properly fenced to prevent the entry of other people or marked according to applicable laws. “For this reason, we call on the construction department to take steps to stop the demolition work immediately,” adds Tylová.
Prague 12 has previously defended itself against the construction of the so-called Two Towers with the originally designed 18 and 14 above-ground floors. Trigema reworked and reduced the project. According to councilors, however, it is still an oversized construction, which will deteriorate in the vicinity of the traffic situation and quality of life. According to Trigema, the proposed houses are in accordance with the zoning plan and the arguments of the councilors are irrelevant. The investment group filed a lawsuit against the councilor.
“We understand that closing a mall can cause problems for citizens, so it is our priority to build the whole project as quickly as possible.” Trigema spokesman informed Petra Martínková. Trigema would like to have the building built within two years of the building permit being issued. According to a spokesman for the Trigema group, Prague’s consent is still lacking for the commencement of construction proceedings.
