Company | The conservatory accessible to all!
As part of its cultural mediation, and in accordance with the city contract, the conservatory has limited that it is an establishment open and accessible to all and that artistic practice, especially collective, is for children, an excellent vector of the pleasure of ‘to learn.
Over three half-days, Tuesday morning and Wednesday all day, around thirty young people from priority neighborhoods in the Greater Avignon area were able to follow “Tous au conservatoire!”, A stage organized in partnership with three social centers and associations (ESC Monfleury in Avignon, Avenir St-Louisien and Couleurs Espoir in Pontet). These children, aged 6 to 10, were able to discover the conservatory through collective practice workshops (music, dance and theater).
On Wednesday noon, the picnic in the courtyard of the conservatory reinforced the convivial dimension of the project. The speakers, Stephen Pisani for the, Thomas Lestrelin for music and Manon Prapotnitch for the dance, spoke with one voice of a more than positive assessment both for themselves and for the children. A fourth social center (ESC Grange d’Orel Avignon), due to lack of time to follow the course, was still able to attend the restitution, during which a video recording was made and shared with the various protagonists. so that families can appreciate the work done by their children.
Note that these days were offered free of charge to families. All that remains is to encourage this type of educational approach so that a new course with even more participating centers is scheduled, perhaps during the winter holidays.
