Belarus and Russia signed a protocol on gas prices for 2022 – Economy and business
MINSK, November 9. / TASS /. The energy ministers of Belarus and Russia signed a protocol on the procedure for setting prices for gas supply to the republic and its transportation through gas pipelines on Belarusian territory. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus.
“On November 9, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Nikolai Shulginov signed a Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Russian Federation on the procedure for setting prices (tariffs) for the supply of natural gas to the Republic of Belarus and its transportation”, – stated in the publication of the press service.
As noted in the message, the protocol establishes “the procedure for setting prices for the supply of natural gas to Belarus in 2022.” “The specific level of gas prices will be fixed in a joint document with PJSC Gazprom, based on the conditions of 2021,” the statement said.
Earlier, Karankevich said that Belarus expects to maintain gas prices from Russia at $ 128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2022. m., as in 2021.
The heads of government of the two countries instructed the Ministry of Energy to hold negotiations and sign a protocol on prices for gas supplies to Minsk and during its transportation.
