Reconstruction of treatment facilities and landscaping are included in the Concept for the development of the Russky Islands – News – Events
Reconstruction of treatment facilities in Novik Bay, sanitary and recreational work in the forests – these and other activities have been added to the plan for the implementation of the concept for the development of Russky Island. The corresponding changes were approved by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
As they said in the development of the infrastructure of the Far East and the Arctic, one of the main activities involves the construction of an innovative scientific and technological center (INTC) “Russian” in 2023–2027. It will appear on the basis of the Far Eastern Federal University and will become a platform uniting students, scientists and business representatives. For this, a research and production unit will be built, educational and business sites will be equipped. Externally, the center will correspond to modern architectural trends.
Additional, on the recommendation of the Vladivostok administration, in the plans for the reconstruction of the Novik Bay drainage system in 2022-2024, carrying out sanitary and recreational work in the forests.
“The treatment facilities were built for the APEC summit. After a while, they cease to function, as a result of which the drains began to pollute the bay. All this negatively affects the ecosystem of the island and its tourist attractiveness. We are glad that the government supported us in this matter “, – noted the head of the department of tourism, investment and urban environment Natalia Rudenko.
Another measure aimed at solving environmental problems involves the implementation of sanitary and recreational work in forest plantations. The need for such work is due to the fact that in 2020 about 75 thousand trees on the island were damaged or destroyed by freezing rain. Of these, 55 thousand trees will be cut, and 23 thousand – cut down. New plantings will appear in their place.
In addition, a new hotel complex “Primorskie Tropiki” will appear on the island by 2030. On its territory there will be hotels, conference rooms, a water park and sports facilities. The total area of the complex will occupy about 350 thousand square meters. m.
The concept of development of the Russky Islands and an action plan for its implementation was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation in 2019… The main thing is the legal creation and economic conditions for the development of the island, the goal of the international scientific, educational and technological cluster. The plan, in particular, provides for the creation of conditions for attracting private investment.
