Projects from Prague and Central Bohemia attracted the attention of the jury and laymen and collected titles
This year, 19 applicants received nominations in the traditionally most strongly represented category of residential projects. Ten in the category of smaller housing projects (up to 50 housing units) and nine in the category of larger residential projects. In the first of them, the jurors built the highest project Rezidence U Boroviček in Prague 6. In addition to architecture, the project also attracted attention with the use of environmentally friendly technologies for the operation of the house.
Prague also scored points in the category of larger residential projects. “Nová Nuselská won the victory in Prague 4. In this family housing project, the jury highlighted the sensitive connection between modern architecture and existing buildings,” said Kamila Čadková, the competition’s media representative.
Among the new administrative centers, the Bořislavka Centrum project won, expanding the range of modern offices and retail space in Prague 6 and dominating the category of renovated offices in Bubenská 1 in Prague 7. “The jury praised offices an office building that meets all current standards, “said Čadková.
In the category of hotels, it was awarded the title Mosaic House Design Hotel in Prague 2. In the category of industrial and warehouse areas, the GLP Park Alza project in Chrášťany near Prague ranked highest, thanks to the use of smart technologies and renewable resources, landscaping for the public and also thanks to the use of rainwater.
The Senlife Mělník Endowment Fund won a special jury prize. It was founded by Senlife through its founders Lukáš Drásta and Tomáš Eckschlager. “They received a building permit for the reconstruction of the dilapidated building of the dilapidated monastery in Mělník in September 2020. At a cost of 80 million crowns, they managed to fully reconstruct the devastated building in 10 months. A home for the elderly was created here, combining the history of the place with modern technology. The first seniors started moving home in August this year, “Čadková explained the decision.
The general public also voted for a successful project. Finally, the readers’ award goes to Byty Na Vackově – 10th stage in Prague 3.
