Kretinsky and West Ham are a big deal. Acquisition of the image and the bridge Prague – London
Whether you recognize, hate, admire, or envy Daniel Křetínský, there is nothing left to say in matters of entering West Ham: It is a really big thing. One that has no comparison in the history of Czech sport.
Why did the Czech billionaire get into it? He has now declared that he is passionate about football. This is a good assumption, but not the main reason for the investment. This is the image that Křetínský will get by joining the traditional Premier League club. Because this competition is at least the most polite and influential sports brand in Europe. And London is a natural crossroads of European trade.
When these factors are connected, there is a result: An entrepreneur whose business activities largely take place outside the Czech borders cannot survive.
Conversely, local football could make money on it. Křetínský certainly did not open the highway to England for Czech players or coaches, but he built a bridge, let’s say a smaller one. At least between Sparta and West Ham. The future, which will also simplify possible transfers between clubs, can be expected.
West Ham is expensive, but buying makes sense. He has untapped potential, according to a British journalist
