He persecuted a colleague, harassed other municipal employees and even citizens. These are the accusations against the commander of the municipal police Laura Turelli, ended up under house arrest together with the agent Claudia Vilucchi as part of an investigation by the Pistoia Public Prosecutor’s Office which shook the Municipality of Agliana. They have to answer for persecutory acts, false ideology, slander and disclosure of official secrets. The searches of the carabinieri took place at dawn yesterday, first in the two private homes, in Quarrata and Agliana, and then in the offices of the local municipal police command, on the first floor of the same building that houses the town hall on the third municipal. At the end of the operations, during which computer media and documents were seized, the carabinieri carried out the precautionary measure of house arrest, issued by the investigating judge Alessandro Azzaroli, for the 50-year-old Turelli and for the agent hired on a temporary basis Claudia Vilucchi, 43 years.

Turelli is also accused of aggravated theft, or rather the car keys of a colleague of hers. The investigation was born from this last accusation, also because suspicions had emerged related to the fact that the complainant’s car had not been stolen, just as nothing inside had been stolen. The carabinieri had thus started checks, the acquisition of videos and the interrogation of people including information on the facts, also proceeding to reconvene the alleged victim to investigate the circumstances of the theft. The investigations brought to light a climate of strong tension within the Municipal Police of Agliana, triggered by openly hostile behavior taken towards some “unwelcome” employees. These behaviors, “which materialized in multiple and spurious disciplinary proceedings, arbitrary demotion, insults in the presence of other colleagues and even private citizens”, had seen an escalation since a new agent, Claudia Vilucchi, arrived at that command. According to the investigators, the latter person induced the victim to move to another command so “to make his hiring possible”. During the investigations, it also emerged that the agent could not be hired as a fixed-term municipal police officer for having reported “a definitive precedent to the sentence of two years and eight months” for slander.

For the investigating judge Alessandro Azzurroli, the investigation shows “how one of the goals of women was that of shape the municipal police force according to their understanding“.
